Presented at AS220 in Providence, Rhode Island, Heavenly Bodies is a series which explores the connection of nature with what we view as spiritual or holy. We are much smaller than the natural elements that encompass us, and these photographs are captured to reflect these everyday elements on a much more grandiose scale. I find these to be influenced by the emotional expression captured within the works of Alfred Stieglitz’s "Equivalents", while also responding to the visual cues of other classic photographers such as Ansel Adams and Edward Weston.
